The 2025 Monster Energy Supercross Series round 2 will happen on Saturday, 18 January 2025. Many riders are excited to enjoy California sunshine at Snapdragon Stadium.
The opening race proved challenging for two top contenders, Jett Lawrence and Eli Tomac, as both experienced early crashes that forced them to battle their way up from the back of the pack. Tomac fought hard to secure a fifth-place finish, while Lawrence fell short of breaking into the top 10. In the 250 class, the same bad luck hit Haiden Deegan, the current SuperMotocross World Champion. All three riders are hoping for a smoother and less chaotic second race.
One rider who would enjoy some action is Aaron Plessinger, the current champion. He won his first Supercross race last year in San Diego on a wet and muddy track. Cooper Webb and Justin Barcia also joined him on the podium.
Nate Thrasher won the 250SX main event after overtaking Garrett Marchbanks, who got caught in heavy traffic. Jordon Smith secured third place on the podium.
