Hangtown Motocross 2024 Injury Update

 

The 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Championship Round 2 will happen in Northern California at the Hangtown Motocross Classic on June 1, 2024. Here you will know who will miss the race due to the injury. Check out the Hangtown MX injury report below:


450 Class


Derek Drake: Back and Out


Drake has a persistent issue with his lower back. At the end of the season, the squad hopes he can make a couple more nationals.


Garrett Marchbanks: Thumb | Out


Marchbanks re-injured his thumb from his supercross injury when he fell on media day before the season opener. This season, he will return, but it will not be to Hangtown.


Eli Tomac, Thumb | Out


Tomac suffered a thumb fracture and tore several ligaments in Denver, Colorado while preparing to compete in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship in 2024. The goal of the squad is to get him back in time for the last three or four national championships.


Cooper Webb: Thumb | Out


The Webb's thumb was injured during the Birmingham round of the Supercross. The group is hoping he'll return for the last three or four pro-motocross events.


250 Class


Guillem Farres, Femur | Out


Due to a broken femur he sustained during the Supercross season, Farres is currently out with no estimated time of return.


Austin Forkner: Spine, Scapula, and Out


Forkner is out of commission following a severe collision in Arlington that resulted in broken L3, L4, and scapula, damage to his shoulder socket, and bleeding or bruised lungs. There is no timeline for Forkner's comeback.


Seth Hammaker: Shoulder | Out


Hammaker suffered a shoulder injury during practice the week before the start of the season. As of right now, there is no schedule for his return.


RJ Hampshire, Wrist | Out


On the day before the season began, Hampshire went down after running into a rock. After surgery, he is currently recovering.
