Tomac to Sit Out Supercross Finale Event and Skip Start of Pro Motocross 2024 Season

Eli Tomac, of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, has decided to skip the upcoming Monster Energy AMA Supercross season finale in Salt Lake City and the initial races of the 2024 Pro Motocross season. This choice is being made in order to prioritize his health and well-being to ensure he can return to racing at full strength. Last weekend in Denver, the champion suffered a thumb injury in a crash during free practice. He will need surgery to repair a Bennett fracture and torn ligaments and is expected to be out for six to eight weeks.
