2024 AMA Supercross Championship Round 9 Injury Update

The 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship round 9 will take place on March 9, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama. Here you will see which rider will play and who is out of the race due to injury. Check out the full injury report and update below:

Christian Craig, Elbow | Out

Craig is sidelined with an elbow problem caused by a previous injury.

Justin Hill: Banged Up | TBD

During the race at Daytona, Hill was severely injured when Fredrik Noren's landing struck him. We were not able to confirm his status.
 
Logan Karnow: Ankle | Out

Karnow had a serious ankle injury during the season's first game, which is why he is sidelined.

Hunter Lawrence, Shoulder | Out

In Daytona, Lawrence suffered a shoulder injury. The team is still awaiting the results to determine the degree of the injury and when he will be able to resume racing.

Colt Nichols, Shoulder | In

After being sidelined due to an injured rotator cuff, Nichols will resume racing in Birmingham.

Aaron Tanti: Shoulder | In

Tanti will return to racing this weekend in Birmingham after missing time due to a fractured shoulder bone.

250SX East Region

Preston Boespflug, Ankle | In

The newbie to the Supercross class missed the remainder of the Daytona Supercross after falling on another rider during qualifying. Nonetheless, Boespflug declared that he would compete in Birmingham.

Guillem Farres, Femur | Out

Due to a broken femur he suffered during practice, Farres will miss the entire season.

Evan Ferry, Shoulder | Out

A press day in Arlington resulted in a separated shoulder for Ferry. He is spending a few weeks in rehab; after that, his case will be reassessed.

Austin Forkner: Spine, Scapula, and Out

Austin Forkner suffered a hard collision at the 250SX East Region main event in Arlington, resulting in a spinal and scapula injury. He broke his L3 and L4 bones, as well as his scapula and shoulder socket, and his lungs were bleeding and damaged. He is out until further notice.

Derek Leatherman, Leg | Out

Leatherman has a shattered femur and will miss the rest of the season.
