Jeff Stanton Grand Marshal for the 54th annual DAYTONA Supercross

 

Jeff Stanton has been chosen as the Grand Marshal for the 54th annual DAYTONA Supercross at Daytona International Speedway. He will be the one to signal the riders to start their engines and take on the challenging course designed by Ricky Carmichael.


Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher admired Jeff Stanton, highlighting his status as a legendary figure in both AMA Supercross, Motocross, and Daytona events. Having won the Daytona event four times consecutively elevates Jeff to a unique level of accomplishment. Kelleher eagerly anticipates Jeff's return and is excited to witness the fans' response to his presence at the World Centre of Racing.


In the years 1989, 1990, and 1992, Stanton triumphed in both AMA 250cc Motocross and AMA Supercross, accumulating a total of six championships. Additionally, he dominated the DAYTONA Supercross event for four consecutive years, earning the title of champion from 1989 to 1992.


Stanton expressed his gratitude for being included in the 2024 DAYTONA Supercross, noting that it was an event he looked forward to each year during Bike Week. He believed the race always motivated him to compete at a championship level.
 
On March 2, 2024, riders will compete in the 54th annual DAYTONA Supercross event at Daytona International Speedway. The challenging track, designed by Ricky Carmichael, will be illuminated by the lights as part of Bike Week presented by Monster Energy.
